Section 3.5
Oil Filter Adaptor

The oil filter adaptor secures the oil filter element and has a bypass valve which allows lubricating oil to circulate through the cylinder block even if the oil filter element is clogged. A thermostat has been incorporated to direct oil to the oil cooler when the temperature of the oil exceeds 80-84 ° C (26-27 ° F).‪
