A DDEC injector harness is a wiring harness that connects the electronic unit injectors (EUIs) to the electronic control module (ECM) in a Detroit Diesel engine. It is a critical component of the DDEC system, as it allows the ECM to control the timing and quantity of fuel injected into the engine’s cylinders.
The injector harnesses are installed at the factory and are delivered completely connected to
the injection units and the ECMs.
The DDEC injector harness is typically made up of a bundle of wires that are protected by a sleeve or conduit. The wires are color-coded to make it easy to identify and connect them to the correct terminals on the EUIs and ECM.
DDEC injector harnesses are available for a variety of Detroit Diesel engines, including the Series 60, Series 50, and Series 92. The specific harness that is required will depend on the engine model and year.
Refer to section 92 for injector harness schematics for various engine series and applications.
