DDEC Pro-Link Operation
The following procedure will suggest several ways to use the Pro-Link® on the DDEC system, see Figure "Pro-Link" ,
Section 94.1.1
Diagnostic Codes
Start with the Menu Selection screen.
- To call up active codes:
- Select ENGINE and ENTER three times.
- To call up inactive codes:
- Select ENGINE and ENTER twice.
- Select INACTIVE CODES and ENTER.
- To clear codes:
- Select ENGINE and push ENTER twice.
- Go down and select CLEAR CODES and ENTER.
- Left to YES, and ENTER.
- Wait and then push FUNC three times.
- Go to lines 1 and 2 of the Engine Data List, Active and Inactive Codes, and verify that both lines display NO.

Cylinder Cutout Sequence
Start with the Menu Selection screen.
- Select ENGINE and ENTER.
- Go down and select FUEL INJECTOR INFO and ENTER.
- Go to CYLINDER CUTOUT and ENTER.
- Select NEW TEST and ENTER, or REVIEW LAST TEST and ENTER.
- Select IDLE and ENTER or 1000 RPM and ENTER.
- Select AUTO and ENTER, or MANUAL and ENTER three times.
- Test is now in progress.
Note: Test results stay stored in the Pro-Link memory as long as the DDR remains powered up.

Injector Calibration Update
Start with the Menu Selection screen.
- Select ENGINE and ENTER.
- Go down to FUEL INJECTOR INFO and ENTER.
- Go down to CAL UPDATE and ENTER.
- Select VIEW and ENTER or select UPDATE and ENTER.
- Enter password: 0000 or xxxx and ENTER twice.
- Enter new CAL # and ENTER. Use UP/DN arrow keys to select line.
- When finished, select FUNC, select YES, ENTER and wait.
- ENTER to continue.

Reprogram Calibration
Start with the Menu Selection screen.
- Select ENGINE and ENTER.
- Down to CALIBRATION CHANGE and ENTER.
- Select REPROGRAM CAL and ENTER.
- Enter password: 0000 or xxxx and ENTER (xxxx=1 to 9 and A to Z).
- Select menu to be changed with UP/DN arrow keys and ENTER twice.
- Use RT/LT arrow keys to change a word or put in a new # and ENTER.
- When finished, select FUNC.
- SELECT ANOTHER MENU: left to YES and ENTER, or NO and ENTER.
- Left to YES and ENTER.
- Wait and then ENTER to continue.

Snapshot Sequence
Start with the Menu Selection screen.
- Select PRO-LINK and ENTER.
- Go up to SNAPSHOT and ENTER.
- Go down to DATA UPDATE RATE and ENTER.
- Type in NEW RATE and ENTER (.0 to 9.9 seconds), (90 frames will be recorded).
- Up to TRIGGER SETUP and ENTER.
- Select TRIGGER SOURCE and ENTER:
- Any Numeric Key
- Any code
- Specific PID
- Specific SID
- Adjust TRIGGER POINT: NO, or select YES and ENTER; change trigger point with RT/LT arrow keys. ENTER.
- WAITING FOR TRIGGER. When ready to take SNAPSHOT, apply the trigger. ANY NUMERIC KEY overrides all other triggers.
- PROCESSING TRIGGER; Filling remaining frames (90 frames max). When all frames are filled, the first three lines of the TRIGGER FRAME, T, will display.
- To do SNAPSHOT after setup is done, do items 1, 2, and 8 only, or go to QUICK TRIGGER and ENTER.
- SNAPSHOT DATA stays stored in Pro-Link memory as long as the DDR remains powered up.
Section 94.1.6
Print Function
Print custom data list of snapshot. The printer is attached to the DDR.
- Select PROLINK. ENTER.
- Select RS-232 SERIAL PORT. ENTER.
- Select PRINTER OUTPUT. ENTER.
- Arrow up or down to SNAPSHOT DATA. ENTER.
- Right to CUSTOM. ENTER twice.
- Select six items from data list using arrow up or down. ENTER after each selection. - FUNC.
- Type 001; ENTER; 090; ENTER.
