Section 2.10
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is located on the left-hand side of the front connector housing, just below the lifting eye.‪

Section 2.10.1
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Removal

Remove the Coolant Temperature Sensor as follows:‪

warning

PERSONAL INJURY

To avoid injury from scalding, drain the radiator when the engine and coolant are cool.‪

Note: The following instructions apply to the four-cylinder as well as the six-cylinder engine.

  1. Drain the coolant from the engine.
  2. Remove the hose clamp attaching the (surge tank) coolant delivery hose to the front connector housing. See Figure "Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Removal / Installation" .

Note: Collect any coolant that runs out of the hose.
