DDEC III/IV Single ECM Troubleshooting – Section 17.1 Description of Flash Code 17

Section 17.1
Description of Flash Code 17

Flash Code 17 indicates that the Throttle Plate Input Voltage has exceeded 95% of the sensor supply voltage (normally > 4.75 volts). Typically, the problem is an open sensor return, a short to the sensor supply or throttle body power is low. Refer to "17.3 Troubleshooting Flash Code 17, Throttle Plate Input Voltage" for troubleshooting. This code also indicates relative humidity sensor circuit failed high. Typically the voltage seen at the ECM for this sensor's signal wire was above programmed limits. Refer to "17.4 Troubleshooting Flash Code 17, Relative Humidity Sensor Circuit" .‪
