Description of Flash Code 44

Flash Code 44 indicates that the ECM has detected that the engine coolant temperature has exceeded the recommended safe operating range. See Figure "Coolant Temperature Sensor (Oil Temperature Sensor similar) " , for the sensor.‪

It also indicates that the ECM has detected that the engine oil temperature has exceeded the recommended safe operating range. This normally occurs due to a mechanical fault. ‪
