Lubricating Oil and Filter Change Intervals for Genset (With High Sulfur Fuels)

The following fluids must be maintained at various intervals.‪

NOTICE:

Operation with fuels having total sulfur greater than 32 ppm, on a mass basis, may result in engine damage, and is not recommended by Detroit Diesel Corporation.‪

Section 13.10.1
200 hrs (or 6 months) Interval Maintenance (Standby Duty)

Every 200 hrs (or 6 months), the following must be replaced for an engine on standby:‪

Fuel with total sulfur greater than 17 ppm, but less than 24 ppm.‪

Section 13.10.2
200 hrs (or 3 months) Interval Maintenance (Continuous Duty)

Every 200 hrs (or 3 months), the following must be replaced for a continuous running engine:‪

Fuel with total sulfur greater than 17 ppm, but less than 24 ppm.‪

150 hrs (or 3 months) Interval Maintenance (Standby Duty)

Every 150 hrs (or 3 months), the following must be replaced for a engine on standby:‪

Fuel with total sulfur greater than 24 ppm, but less than 32 ppm.‪
