Description of Flash Code 61
The SAE J1587 equivalent code for Flash Code 61 is s 1/0, or s 2/0, or s 3/0, or s 4/0, or s 5/0 or s 6 /0 (six cylinder engine, FMI 6 = Grounded Circuit).
Flash Code 61 indicates that the time interval that starts when the DDEC V ECM/ECU requests an injector (see Figure "N3 Injector" ) be turned on to when the injector solenoid valve actually closes is longer than the high limit of the expected range. Engine oil temperature must be greater than 87°F (30°C).
