Description of Flash Code 81
The SAE J1587 equivalent code for Flash Code 81 is p 411/3, p 412/3, p 98/3 or p 173/3. .
Flash Code 81 is used to identify oil level or exhaust temperature voltage high. The four PIDs identified by Flash Code 81 are:
- PID 411/FMI 3 – EGR Delta Pressure check high (refer to "73.2 Troubleshooting Flash Code 81, PID 411/FMI 3" )
- PID 412/FMI 3 – EGR temperature high (refer to "73.3 Troubleshooting Flash Code 81, PID 412/FMI 3" )
- PID 98/FMI 3 – Engine Oil Level Sensor (EOL Sensor) input voltage high (refer to "73.4 Troubleshooting Flash Code 81, PID 98/FMI 3" )
- PID 173/FMI 3 – exhaust gas temperature circuit failed high (refer to "73.5 Troubleshooting Flash Code 81, PID 173/FMI 3" )
